Cooking Recommendations
Preparation :
– For optimal results, remove the meat from the fridge 30 minutes to 1 hour before cooking.
– Lightly coat pork belly blocks with spiced oil and sprinkle salt on the fat to achieve crackling. (This is available already prepped at Impala Vleis™.)
Air Fryer Settings :
– Use ‘Roasting” mode
– Fat side down at 185°C for 7 minutes.
– After 7 minutes, Fat side up at 165°C for 12 minutes.
Suggestion :
– Ensure the pork belly blocks have crispy outsides and tender insides before serving.
